Interactive Installations
In collaboration with friends and colleagues, I've specialized in the design and conception of immersive virtual environments.
Central to our projects is the intricate design of interactions and the development of generative, autonomous virtual behaviors, fostering poetic and meaningful experiences enhanced by gesture-focused technology.

-
Garbage Garden
In this interactive installation, I crafted the life cycle of plants. I emphasized their growth, integrated genetic algorithms for reproduction, depicted their natural decay, and designed their spatial behaviors based on neighboring plant interactions.
-
Memoirs of a Scarf or L'Efant Sauvage
"Memoirs of a Scarf ou l'enfant sauvage" is an interactive scenographic installation that portrays a machine as a fearful, adaptive character with its own psychological history. Developed in collaboration with Anômes, the project explores the machine's emotions through its reactions to human presence, reflecting themes of autonomy and resistance.
-
The Sung Portrait
In this installation, I created a multi-agent based simulation where paintbrushes are animated into life through your voice. When sung to, they dynamically draw your portrait, capturing and following the nuances of your facial features.
-
The Room
In this project, I created interactive geometric shapes that respond dynamically to the arm and hand gestures of participants.
-
Aliaj Angélus
(Masters’ degree project, completed in three weeks)
In this artwork, I designed a multi-agent system responsible for depicting the landscape's vegetation. Beyond mere representation, I intricately crafted the vegetation's life cycle, enabling it to grow, reproduce, and evolve in response to real-world meteorological conditions.
-
Parallelograms
(Student project, completed in one week)
In this VR endeavor, I established the IoT link between a handcrafted cube and real-time generative software. Additionally, I designed the VR environment and ensured the virtual cube's behavior seamlessly mirrored the physical cube's rotation.
-
Contes Electroniques
(Student project, completed in three weeks)
In this interactive installation, I contributed to crafting segments of the virtual environment, specializing in landscape design with image distortion and physical simulations. Additionally, I collaborated on the illustrations and the interactive setup.
-
Silky Way
(Student project, completed in one week)
For this interactive installation, I was responsible for designing the real-time graphic behavior and shaping the overall scenography.
-
Ode ao Banho I and II
(Student project, completed in three weeks)
In this interactive installation, I took the lead from conception to execution. I was at the helm of the entire project, from the initial idea and conceptualization to the final scenography. My roles included both generative and interaction design elements.
