Silky Way
2015
In 2015, I collaborated with Mehdi Cheraitia, Andréa Fernandez, Eléa Richeux, and JingJie Yu to create "Silky Way," an interactive generative installation. This prototype was developed using OpenFrameworks during an intensive project week in the third year of our Bachelor's in Arts and Technologies of Image at Université Paris 8, Saint-Denis, France. The installation, measuring 6x6x3 meters, was presented using tulle fabric, a Kinect V1, and a video projector.
"Silky Way" was our first intensive project within the ATI (Arts and Technologies of Virtual Image) program. The idea emerged from our collective desire to create an experience focused on the moment of touch. We aimed to highlight, enhance, and dramatize the instant of contact between two individuals through the artistic installation and the possibilities of digital synthesis. By extrapolating the sense of touch and assigning it a visual and auditory interpretation, the installation offers a micro-universe dedicated to the sensation of touch.
